EIT Digital as a pan-European organisation with 300 partners and 21 offices across EU27 and a Hub in Silicon Valley is ideally suited for tapping into the expertise and know-how of different and diverse stakeholders across Europe and wider, both from the private and public sector including corporates, academia and SMEs and acting as a gateway to them and for them and to the European Digital Innovation.

In 2022 EIT Digital continued to expand its footprint in the European Digital landscape by officially opening a new Regional Office in Tallinn, Estonia and securing requirements for two more, in Athens, Greece and Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Their opening is expected in 2023.

The European Digital industry’s demand for digital talent was served by the 562 entrepreneurial-minded digital domain masters who graduated from the EIT Digital Master School. More than 150 master's students worked in internships provided by our members. The EIT Digital Professional School supported the industry in upskilling and maintaining their workforce's digital competencies by delivering 9 courses and launching 13 self-paced online courses.

The European Digital industry was injected with 26 new deep-tech digital ventures and market with 43 new deep-tech solutions delivered by EIT Digital Open Innovation Factory projects. These figures were supplemented by the 31 new ventures the EIT Digital Venture Program created.

EIT Digital Growth Services supported 33 companies and 10 EIC pilot scale-ups. The companies in EIT Digital’s portfolio were able to secure over 110m€ of funding and the four EIC pilot scale-ups supported by the  Growth  Services were able to raise 41m€ in 2022.

In 2022, EIT Digital continued entering into numerous collaboration projects ranging from publicly funded Horizon Europe, Digital Europe Program calls and a year-long collaboration pilot with the European Innovation Council (EIC) to a fully privately funded Sustainable Cities Climate Impact Challenge, organised together with our sister organisation, EIT Climate-KIC and funded by the US transportation, e-commerce and business services company, FedEx.
