SME4DD - Training SMEs for the Digital Decade
Starting year: Jan 2023 - Ending year: Dec 2025
Training SMEs for the Digital Decade (SME4DD) will deliver short-term training programmes in three strategic digital technologies for Europe: 1) Artificial Intelligence, 2) Blockchain, 3) Cybersecurity. The short-term training programmes will be designed based on the needs of companies - especially SMEs - and will increase the number of men and women able to design, develop and deploy digital solutions in the economy and across sectors.

AI4Europe - An AI On-demand Platform to Support Research Excellence in Europe
Starting year: July 2022 - Ending year: December 2025
The EU is advancing its efforts to establish an AI ecosystem of excellence. One pillar of this strategy is the creation of an AI on-demand repository of experts, tools, and services that are supported by a set of distributed platforms. These platforms shall serve as a resource for the research community to support the European AI model based on the principles of Trustworthy AI.

CONCORDIA - Cyber security cOmpeteNCe fOr Research anD InnovAtion
Starting year: January 2019 - Ending year: March 2023
It is in the EU's strategic interest to develop and hold on to its security capacities. This, however, is challenging as its cybersecurity competences are spread across Europe with little alignment. CONCORDIA, an EU-funded multi-disciplinary research and innovation project, has set out to address this current fragmentation and further enhance the EU's digital sovereignty. The project aims to interconnect all of Europe’s cybersecurity capabilities into a network of expertise to help build a secure, trusted, resilient and competitive ecosystem. Moreover, it will develop the EU Cybersecurity Research and Innovation Roadmap.

QU4LITY - Digital Reality in Zero Defect Manufacturing
Starting year: January 2019 - Ending year: July 2022
Qu4lity is the biggest European project dedicated to Autonomous Qu4lity (AQ) and Zero Defect Manufacturing (ZDM) in the Industry 4.0. Qu4lity will demonstrate, in a realistic, measurable and replicable way an open, certifiable and highly standardised, SME-friendly and transformative shared data-driven ZDM product and service model for Factory 4.0 through 14 pilot lines. Qu4lity will also demonstrate how European industry can build unique and highly tailored ZDM strategies and competitive advantages through an orchestrated open platform ecosystem.

AI4EU - A European AI On Demand Platform and Ecosystem
Starting year: January 2019 - Ending year: December 2021
The European AI-on-demand (AIOD) platform seeks to bring together the AI community while promoting European values. The platform is a facilitator of knowledge transfer from research to multiple business domains. The platform serves as a catalyst to aid AI-based innovation, resulting in new products, services, and solutions to benefit European industry, commerce, and society. By bringing people together, the community resource seeks to address the fragmentation of the European AI landscape and facilitate technology transfer from research to business.

MIDIH - Manufacturing Industry Digital Innovation Hubs
Starting year: October 2017 - Ending year: September 2020
Funded by Horizon 2020 within the Factories of Future cPPP and I4MS programmes, MIDIH aims to support and link national and local initiatives for the digitisation of manufacturing industry, to boost investment and collaborations through strategic partnership and networking. The initiative aims to encourage innovation partnerships between solution providers and industrie, as well as bring Europe to the forefront of the Industry 4.0 market by 2023.

BDVe - Big Data Value Ecosystem
Starting year: January 2017 - Ending year: December 2020
Effectively combining in a consortium Large Enterprises, SMEs and Academia the Big Data Value eCosystem Project (BDVe) provides coordination and support for the current and future H2020 projects within the Big Data Value Public-Private Partnership. By joining resources and assets, the cooperation will target the crucial aspects that will enable the creation of a strong European Big Data Economy: technology-driven Innovation around Big Data technologies and applications; Entrepreneurial Education for the new talents and skills Big Data economy requires; the creation of an innovation ecosystem for the European Big Data economy to flourish within.

SoftFIRE - Software Defined Networks and Network Function Virtualization Testbed within FIRE+
Starting year: February 2016 - Ending year: April 2018
Led by EIT Digital, partners Deutsche Telecom, Ericsson, Fraunhofer FOKUS, Reply, TU Berlin, TIM and the University of Surrey will work together to test and show how these approaches can be used to cope with the increasing demand of pervasive broadband network and push the boundaries of Software Defined Networks (SDNs) and Network Function Virtualisation (NFV) toward the next generation 5G networks. Software Defined Networks are an important enabler of 5G as they, first, allow developers to use varied resources to realise the right communication system for targeted services, second, allow developer to do so working at the edge.

I3H - EIT ICT Labs Incubating Internet Innovation Hubs
Starting year: July 2014 - Ending year: December 2016
The objective of the "Incubating Internet Innovation Hubs" (I3H) project is to contribute to the sustainability of FI PPP/FIWARE by creating a European network of Internet Innovation Hubs (IIH), regional or thematic clusters that bring together web entrepreneurs, mentors, investors, students, academia, industry, and public sector innovators to speed up the transformation of FIWARE results to services and applications addressing the needs of European citizens, companies, and society. For the initiative our starting point is the initial network of EIT ICT Labs hubs in Budapest, Eindhoven, Helsinki, Madrid, Paris and Trento, the Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) on information society of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).
