EIT Digital participates in the 2019 South Summit, the leading Spanish Tech congress, organising two events, giving one keynote speech by its local Director, and welcoming visitors at its informative booth.
A few days after hosting its Annual Conference in Brussels, EIT Digital won’t miss the gathering of top-level technological actors in Spain and will have its biggest presence so far in this three-day-long event in Madrid. Besides welcoming all the congress attendants at its booth (number 41), where EIT Digital’s staff will inform about its Innovation Activities such as E-FLY, the Pan-European organisation will also host two events on October the 2nd and 3rd. The first event, Scale up internationally with EIT Digital, will take place between 11:30 and 13:30 on October the 2nd and will be a scouting morning during which EIT Digital Accelerator’s experts will meet and evaluate technological startups that are ready to scale up internationally. The following day, a series of matchmaking rounds (register here) will be held between the acceleration program scaleups and top-level Spanish and European corporates. Moreover, EIT Digital’s Spanish Node director, Jesús Contreras, will give a keynote speech about education linked to innovation and entrepreneurship (Demo Stage, October the 3rd, 10:50).
Scale up internationally with EIT Digital, a meeting between EIT Digital’s staff and candidate scaleups interested in joining its international ecosystem, will focus on startups ready to expand their businesses throughout Europe once their position within the Spanish market has been consolidated. The candidate companies will have an innovative and scalable solution or product, based on digital technology and with a solid USP. They should have use cases in fields such as manufacturing, logistics, retail, financial services, insurance, mobility, Smart cities, or wellbeing, among others. They are also required to have a B2B or B2B2C business model, solid revenue, and a well-balanced and large team.
