The EIT Digital Accelerator portfolio scaleup merges their cloud business with EASY Enterprise Services GmbH, a subsidiary for cloud solutions of EASY SOFTWARE AG. The merger will not only create synergies but also drive the future development of the platform ApiOmat as well as the national and international market expansion.
Easy Software AG has required a majority share of Apinauten GmbH, maker of the ApiOmat platform. The ApiOmat software platform enables companies to quickly develop and integrate digital services for their customers, employees and partners while EASY SOFTWARE AG has a vast experience in the integration of ERP systems and business process expertise. Together, the two companies will form the EASY Apinauten GmbH.
The team of today more than 45 employees around founder Marcel Etzel started with five mobile professionals in Jena, before they moved their headquarters to Leipzig in 2013. Over the last years, Marcel and his team have achieved considerable success. In 2018, the international IT analyst Gartner listed the platform for the first time in the renowned report, Gartner Magic Quadrant for "Mobile App Development Platforms".
“After an outstanding year in 2018, we will continue to build upon our success with ApiOmat in 2019. ApiOmat’s functionality will become even more versatile, above all with the integrated low-code tool, the generation of microservices, the use of artificial intelligence as well as the integration capabilities with existing systems,” explains CEO and founder Marcel Etzel their future plans. “We will also be addressing internal issues more intensively, such as the establishment of delivery processes and of additional resources. With the Easy Software AG as a strong partner at our side, we can reach our goals for the digitalization platform “ApiOmat” faster and will be able to further establish our presence on the international market." In 2017, ApiOmat was awarded first prize in the EIT Digital Challenge’s category Digital Infrastructure and joined the EIT Digital Accelerator shortly after. Since then, the company has received comprehensive support from the Accelerator’s business development experts in terms of Access to Market and Access to Finance throughout 2018. The Access to Finance service ranges from investment readiness support to direct contact with individual investors.
