Nearly 70 persons from all nodes gathered together to further develop the Smart Spaces thematic action line activities. Petri Liuha, the leader for Smart Spaces thematic action line, introduced the goals for this area and updates on the activity status. Then the participants divided into groups to work on business verticals in the areas of retail, office, public spaces and households. The second day focused on horizontal themes like smart spaces research roadmap, smart spaces and Internet of Things, localization and interaction techniques, and actions for ecosystem creation. In the workshop, large group of people from all ICT Labs nodes shared their ideas, discussed about the challenges and presented also a number of interesting demos from current projects. The event also started the definition of first applications and the creation of plans for future activities.
