The Dutch ICT-magazine Computable, has nominated 20 startups for the annual Computable Award for best startup in the Netherlands. Three out of these 20 are part of the EIT Digital ecosystem: Onegini, Storro and Plugify. On Friday, June 2, the jury will chose the ten best tech startups, and the winner will be revealed on October 31.
It's the 12th annual Computable Awards. The 'Award voor Nederlandse startup van het jaar' is just three years old. Last year, Dutch company Startmonday won with their smart online job hunting kiosks; in 2015, the honour was for Redsocks, an IT-company in Cybersecurity. This year, ninety startups began the admission process, but seventy have already been eliminated.
Honour
The prizewinning startup receives the prestigious Award and the honour to call itself the "best startup of the Netherlands" for one year. The magazine Computable will publish a series of articles about the winner in the online magazine and in the paper edition that appears six times a year, according to Sander Huisman, editor in chief of Computable.

Storro

EIT Digital Business Developers have amongst others set up a path to Access to Finance that has eventually led up to investors putting half a million euros in the company.
Onegini
For Onegini the EIT Digital business developers "have opened doors that otherwise would have remained closed," says sales director <link accelerator access-to-market>Vincent Philipsen. Onegini has developed a mobile security platform for authenticationmethodes for transactions and in 2015, the company raised 1.5 million euros.
Plugify
<link newsroom success-stories karens-grigorjancs-rocks-the-music-scene-with-startup-plugify>Karens Grigorjancs, one of the co-founders of Plugify graduated in 2015 from the EIT Digital Master School. He managed to raise almost 750,000 euros in crowdfunding one year later for the music platform where people can book artists easier and cheaper than with traditional music booking agencies.
Voting
Whether these companies end up in the top ten of best Dutch tech Startup is up to the jury and the readers of the magazine. Readers can vote for the startup they wish to see winning the Award beginning July 4, 2017. The public voting and the voting of the member of the jury each count for 50 percent.
