'B2T2 - Blockchain for Tracing and Tracking' Innovation Activity in Trento or Milan

The Post-Master positions are open to all EIT Digital Master School graduates, who graduated the School in the academic year 2017 - 2018, 2018 - 2019 or 2019 - 2020. The Post-Master Professional works on activities in the context of the EIT Digital Innovation activity portfolio within key innovation areas. The work includes all stages and parts of the innovation process as technology and business model development. The intention of the position is to contribute to the Post-Master’s personal entrepreneurship development.

Activities: Digitalizazion of Transportation and Logistics

The activity addresses the domain of digitalization of Transportation and Logistics. The reference EIT DIGITAL activity, named B2T2 (Blockchin Based Tracking and Tracing), is starting in September 2020 and includes partners from the Ports of Genoa (Italy) and Valencia (Spain). While these partners guarantee a solid connection with the application domain, the Italian telecom operator (TIM), which participates in the project team, guarantees the technological level of the action. The candidate will work on Blockchain, Internet of Things, 5G and Business Intelligence, under the supervision of the University of Genoa, in partnership with the B2T2 consortium and EIT DIGITAL.

Job Profile

We are looking for one Post-Master Professional that will perform the following tasks:

  • Investigate Innovative technologies for Intelligent Transportation Systems
  • Investigate the application of Cloud/Edge and 5G technologies to Logistics and Transportation
  • Design and develop Distribued Platforms based on Blockchain Technology
  • Study the evolution of Business Models and the Digital Transformation in the Logistics and Transportation domains.
  • Define use cases for Smart Contracts in the domain of logistics and transportation.

The work will involve intense collaboration with EIT Digital partners, and other related technology providers that are actively participating the activity. English is the working language in the activity. Italian and Spanish language skills are an asset.

Location

Place of Employment is the EIT Digital Co-location Centre in Trento (or Milan). Some travels to Genova (Italy) are expected for activity coordination.

'Digital Twin for Safety' Innovation Activity in Helsinki

The Post-Master Professional works on activities in the context of the EIT Digital Innovation activity portfolio within key innovation areas. Activities: Digital Twin for Safety

Our activity creates a startup making digital twin for factories to improve fire safety by coupling a novel early-detection UV sensor with an IR sensor. A software backbone integrates the sensors output and leverages data analytics for real-time hazard prediction and proactive risk mitigation. The involved partners are the following:

Aalto University, Fenno-Aurum Company, and TeamDev Company.

Job Profile

We are looking for one Post-Master Professional that will perform the following tasks:

  • Work with our team in the sensor data analytics and integration to the 3D model
  • Work with 3D modeling software such as Unity for model enhancement, and real-time data integration

The work will involve intense collaboration with EIT Digital partners, and other related technology providers that are actively participating the activity. English is the working language in the activity. Unity software skills are an asset.

Location

Place of Employment is the EIT Digital Co-location Centre in Helsinki, Finland. Occasional European travels to be expected.

The purpose is to build a methodology process and a software platorm supporting assessment of real time Safety and Security KPI for an industrial site, from real time collected information captured from any device such as sensors, recorders, cameras or data manually documented on this site. Expected outcome is a methodology, technological bricks and a software platform to collect, record and manage contents captured from an industrial site under surveillance. With this digital based surveillance platform, APSYS will grow his business on the market of Safety and Security assessment, providing a digital platform able to follow up any industrial site in terms of Safety and Security, which is strategical for the society.

Job Profile

We are looking for one Post-Master Professional that will perform the following tasks:

  • Architecture for a Safety and Security surveillance platform of an industrial site
  • Use Case description of a Safety and Security surveillance platform
  • Structuration of the market for Safecure, productization and Go To Market strategy
