'ART' Innovation Activity in Trento or Milan

The Post-Master positions are open to all EIT Digital Master School graduates, who graduated the School in the academic year 2017 - 2018, 2018 - 2019 or 2019 - 2020. The Post-Master Professional works on activities in the context of the EIT Digital Innovation activity portfolio within key innovation areas. The work includes all stages and parts of the innovation process as technology and business model development. The intention of the position is to contribute to the Post-Master’s personal entrepreneurship development.

Activities: ART - Augmented Reality for Tourism industry in a changing era

The pandemic situation will require the entire tourism sector to evolve: it will be necessary to promote art and cultural tourism in new ways and offer access to attractions even remotely. ART creates a platform for tour operators, tourism & event managers to enhance the attractiveness of their touristic offer through Mixed, Virtual and Augmented Reality technologies, accompanying tourists from their choice of destinations to on-site experiences. In the demand stage, we offer to the tour operators the capability to create, in agency or remotely, an engaging experience for possible travelers by showing 2D contents in 3D virtual environments. On-site, ART offers organizers the opportunity to create AR shared experiences that combine artistic locations with virtual tour guides and digital contents. ART platform will be offered as Software As A Service to Tour Operators by a new startup with the support of FifthIngenium, business champion, and the sales network of TIM, activity leader. FifthIngenium, TIM, Politecnico di Milano, and TU Berlin University will be technology providers.

Job Profile

We are looking for one Post-Master Professional that will perform the following tasks:

  • Collaborate to design and development of Augmente/Virtual Reality platform and POCs with customers
  • Partecipate at Business champion activities (market analysis, customers segmenetation, business plan creation, …) and support the management team in the creation of the new startup.
  • Support the techinal coordination between partners

The work will involve intense collaboration with EIT Digital partners, and other related technology providers that are actively participating the activity. English is the working language in the activity. Italian language skills are an asset.

Location

Place of Employment is the EIT Digital Co-location Centre in Trento (or Milan), Italy. Occasional European travels to be expected.

'EcoWise Healthy Homes Suite' Innovation Activity in London

The Post-Master positions are open to all EIT Digital Master School graduates, who graduated the School in the academic year 2017 - 2018, 2018 - 2019 or 2019 - 2020. The Post-Master Professional works on activities in the context of the EIT Digital Innovation activity portfolio within key innovation areas. The work includes all stages and parts of the innovation process as technology and business model development. The intention of the position is to contribute to the Post-Master’s personal entrepreneurship development.

Activities: EcoWise Healthy Homes Suite (EHHS)

EHHS is a cloud based system, for municipalities and facility managers, providing building energy use optimisation & monitoring of indoor air quality conditions. EHHS integrates: 1) Building connectivity via FiWare smart city architecture for IoT networks and building control systems; 2) Predictive Energy+ simulations based on digital BIM/3D models; 3) Dynamic weather and occupant data (digital twins); 4) Cloud microservices for scalability and interoperability. EHHS seeks to scale as a venture to manage over 110 buildings in 2 years and over 1250 buildings in 5 years, based on a Software as a Service model. The suite development is led by EcoWise (UK) as a business champion together with ATOS (Spain), COMET (Spain) and VRM (Ireland).

Job Profile

We are looking for one Post-Master Professional that will perform the following tasks:

  • Building sensor data analytics
  • Design of data processing algorithms
  • Evaluation of predictive AI methods
  • Creation of building typologies

The work will involve intense collaboration with EIT Digital partners, and other related technology providers that are actively participating the activity. English is the working language in the activity. Spanish language skills are an asset.

'EZY CRWD GO' Innovation Activity in Berlin

The Post-Master positions are open to all EIT Digital Master School graduates, who graduated the School in the academic year 2017 - 2018, 2018 - 2019 or 2019 - 2020. The Post-Master works on activities in the context of the EIT Digital Innovation activity portfolio within key innovation areas. The work includes all stages and parts of the innovation process as technology and business model development. The intention of the position is to contribute to the Post-Master’s personal entrepreneurship development.

Activities: EZY CRWD GO - Easy Crowd Guidance Optimization

The activity aims at developing a product and a service to for IoT-based way-finding solutions for large crowds in situations and at events grounds where overcrowding needs be managed. Our crowd guidance solution is based in intelligent lights in combination with a real time date feed, an app for event visitors and a dashboard for monitoring and data analysis. Within the activity period we will further develop the design and production method of our cyber-physical light (see activity GetHomeSafely 2019) in order to establish new markets and customer segments. Our target is to understand the city better through the insertion of cyber-physical systems in the urban environment. A start-up will be founded.  The successful candidate can also become a founder of the start-up will be founded during the activity. Partners are: Technical University Berlin (Product Design and Principle Investigator, Business Champion), Telecom Italia, Experientia, Politecnico Milano, Fraunhofer Institute - Heinrich Hertz Institute.

Job Profile

  • Design and production of App Drafts using Adobe DX, Indigo or similar
  • Developing all media related to user experience
  • Development of Dashboards to be technically integrated in the user experiemce media
  • Deploying the UEx part of the activity within the knowledge database of the activity and vision for future development of the activity

'Urban Data Exchange (UDX)' Innovation Activity in London

Activities: Urban Data Exchange (UDX)

UDX is a data marketplace for smart cities that will grow the urban data economy. By providing a one stop shop for urban data it will simplify the creation of new services for cities and citizens and accelerate their scaling to a global market. It will unlock new value from urban data sharing. UDX will be setup as a business next year – our goal is to learn from our pilot customers as much as possible and stay laser focused on developing the right product features, go to market strategy and business model to gain commercial traction and transform the venture into a vibrant business. With the GLA and London Heathrow Airport we have the largest city and airport in Europe involved.

Job Profile

We are looking for one Post-Master Professional that will perform the following tasks:

  • Ideate new UDX technical features that are needed to enable trusted economic activity on the platform
  • Develop proof-of concept prototypes of proposed features that can be used for market testing
  • Contribute to market validation activities to understand product market fit and end user experience with UDX
  • Perform a detailed competitor analysis of the rapidly emerging urban data economony market by understanding their strength, weaknesses, available technical features and gaps
  • Develop an understanding underlying barriers and drivers for providers and consumers (eg. Cities, data scientists, app developers) of urban data to engage in data sharing through primary research with end users

The work will involve intense collaboration with EIT Digital partners, and other related technology providers that are actively participating in the activity. English is the working language in the activity. Other language skills such as German and Spanish are an asset.
