The EIT Digital Academy delivers the EIT Digital entrepreneurial education programmes and operates through three schools: Master School, Professional School and Summer School. The EIT Digital Academy equips its students with deep-tech digital skills and entrepreneurial skills. The EIT Digital Academy is closely linked to the EIT Digital Unipreneurship, Innovation and Entrepreneurship activities that focus on bringing technology to market and scaling up digital deep tech ventures with programmes such as Venture Building, Venture Incubation, Acceleration, Speed Master, and Growth Services. Students from the EIT Digital Academy form the human link between the education and innovation activities of EIT Digital, and then join a growing pool of EIT Digital Alumni who stay engaged throughout their lifetime.
The EIT Digital Academy is delivering entrepreneurial digital talents through deep embedding of entrepreneurship into the education programmes as well as applying novel on-line education techniques (such as Essentials webinar series, MOOC, blended education, mobility, industry internships).
The EIT Digital Academy is working on life-long learning by developing the (d)Academy platform, an online AI-based tool focused on the upskilling and re-skilling of the European workforce.
About the Role
The Education Marketing Lead’s responsibility is threefold: he/she contributes to the marketing communications strategy for the entrepreneurial education, implements the social media strategy for the ‘student-life’ and student activation campaigns, owns the budget and reporting for the activity.
The marketing communications strategy of the EIT Digital entrepreneurial education activities include the following programmes: Master School, Summer School, (d)Academy, the key focus is the annual recruitment campaign, the Education Marketing Lead contributes to reaching the goals as well as implementing that strategy on an operational level. The Education Marketing Lead is responsible for development, implementation and execution of the recruitment plan for the Master School and (d)Academy, the go-to-market plan for the Summer Schools.
He/She will be responsible for implementing and executing the EIT Digital entrepreneurial education and recruitment marketing strategy on a global scale, in close collaboration with the Head of Education & Skills, Head of Professional School and Head of Unipreneurship, while being a part of the EIT Digital Marketing & Communications team and reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager.
The Education Marketing Lead is also responsible for coordinating with the Education team for the implementation of the European/National calls and tenders involving entrepreneurial education and education programs and activities, and their reporting.
Main Responsibilities
- Use best in class digital marketing practices and tools to craft high-converting advertising campaigns and sales funnels that drive quality traffic, leads, and applications for all the entrepreneurial education programmes and recruitment activities while achieving low acquisition cost;
- Manage the customer journey of the applicant from interest to enrolment in the Master School, Summer School, by improving the sales process throughout the recruitment funnel on a global scale;
- Manage the customer journey of students, young professionals and corporates into the (d)Academy;
- Develop digital marketing collateral to ensure accurate targeting and marketing strategies that resonate with the target audiences;
- Develop marketing activation plan for international study fairs (merchandising, activations);
- Develop digital marketing campaigns and sequences using best marketing practices to ensure high conversions and engagement;
- Supervise marketing messages and marketing collateral for Education and Unipreneurship activities, such as recruitment fairs, Kick-off and Graduation, including the ones planned for EU calls and tenders;
- Participation in national and international recruitment fairs;
- Ensure brand maintenance;
- Design the marketing campaigns in-house (Including visuals, videos and marketing collateral);
- For flagship projects manage relationships with graphic designers, videographers and digital marketing service providers to ensure campaigns are successfully developed while maintaining brand consistency;
- Improve records management and data entry, provide executive reporting of marketing campaigns;
- Create the social media calendar for Instagram for ‘student life communication’, design the activation campaigns, coordinate with the EIT Digital alumni association, and the Education team;
- Co-design and implement the student ambassador programme;
- Own the budgeting and reporting for the education marketing activities;
- Contribute to campaigns of education related activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor/Master in marketing or communications with a strong link to digital marketing, or Bachelor/Master in STEM subjects with extensive experience in marketing, communication and digital marketing;
- Minimum 5+ years’ relevant experience in digital marketing;
- Track record of success in postgraduate international recruitment in Europe. In-depth understanding of the postgraduate recruitment landscape within the EU is essential, as well as the ability to effectively reach out to and engage global audiences; alternatively a solid marketing knowledge and experience with strong interest in the higher education domain;
- Track record of success in integrating digital marketing and communication into the marketing strategy to effectively engage specific target segments;
- Strategic thinker with a sales-oriented and business growth mindset, and a strong customer focus;
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, working experience in matrix organizations and multicultural work environments;
- Working experience on a global scale, the ability to manage parallel tracks and projects;
- Working experience in a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent stakeholder management skills. A track record of success in developing effective marketing support systems for a variety of partner academic institutions; alternatively, a solid experience in multi-stakeholder projects with strong interest in the higher education domain;
- Experience in managing video content and production, and effectively using this content to engage specific target audiences and drive sales (canva preferred);
- Team Player, who understands the horizontal and agency-approach and is able to work in a multi-seated international team;
- Can-do attitude with a growth mindset, thriving on challenges.
Languages
Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to adapt to a variety of stakeholders is required. Knowledge of any other EU language is a merit.
Employment
This is a full-time position. Preferably at EIT Digital HQ in Brussels, although location at one of the EIT Digital European offices with easy connection for travel in Europe might be considered. Regular travel across Europe will be required.
