Job Overview

The Culture and Development Specialist plays a key role in shaping and promoting the organisational culture at EIT Digital. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing internal training, development programmes, and cultural initiatives across Europe. By aligning learning strategies with the organisation’s goals, fostering a culture of continuous development, and ensuring legal compliance in various countries, the Culture and Development Specialist will elevate both the technical and cultural skills of our internal staff.

This role aims to strengthen the organisation's digital transformation efforts while fostering an inclusive, entrepreneurial, and collaborative culture that reflects EIT Digital’s values.

Key Responsibilities

Cultural Development

  • Lead initiatives to strengthen EIT Digital's internal culture, emphasizing inclusivity, entrepreneurship, and collaboration.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design programmes that support the organisation’s cultural and strategic goals.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development that aligns with organisational objectives.

Programme Design and Development

  • Design, develop, and deliver training programmes (digital, in-person, blended) that are tailored to different roles and stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Ensure that training programmes align with EIT Digital’s strategic direction in both education and innovation, while promoting cultural alignment.
  • Keep abreast of trends in digital transformation, innovation, and entrepreneurial education to ensure that training and cultural initiatives are relevant.

Continuous Improvement

  • Regularly assess both cultural and learning initiatives through feedback, analytics, and market research, enhancing quality and effectiveness.
  • Implement modern learning tools and best practices to ensure impactful learning and cultural experiences.

Performance Measurement

  • Define key metrics for culture and development initiatives, measure outcomes, and prepare reports on the impact of training and cultural programmes.
  • Use data-driven insights to drive improvements in both culture and learning development strategies.

Budget and Resource Management

  • Oversee the budget for culture and development programmes, ensuring the optimal allocation of resources to support organisational goals.

Key Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organisational Development, or a related field.
  • Certification in Learning and Development (L&D) or Organisational Culture is a plus.

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in training, development, and cultural initiatives, ideally within a tech or innovation-driven organisation.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale culture and learning programmes across multiple geographies.
  • Expertise with e-learning platforms, learning management systems (LMS), and digital training solutions.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong leadership and project management skills with a focus on managing cross-functional and multicultural teams.
  • Deep understanding of digital education trends and cultural development practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and leverage insights to optimise learning and cultural outcomes.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional European languages are an advantage.

Reporting to

The Culture and Development Specialist reports to the Head of Human Resources.

Employment

This is a full-time position. Preferably at EIT Digital HQ in Brussels, although location at one of the EIT Digital European offices with easy connection for travel in Europe might be considered. Regular travel across Europe will be required.
