New course launch: Sign up now for Architecting for System Performance

EIT Digital launches yet another course within the Professional School offering. The course starts on February 13. Enrolment is open.

The new course is like all other professional school courses aimed at professionals who want to stay ahead of modern developments and even want to help their company to transform to a company that will hold on in the digital transformation.

Architecting for System Performance

Architecting for critical system performance attributes in a high-tech multi-stakeholder environment is a challenging task. This course helps system designers and architects to develop the required skills.

Addressing the architecting of business critical performance attributes, such as time, resource and throughput, the course Architecting for System Performance covers performance architecting from an external (market, business) and internal (design) perspective.

This course is developed by Gerrit Muller, Professor Systems Engineering and his colleagues at TNO-ESI.

"Working 20 years as a system architect, I came to the conclusion that companies need many more systems architects. At the same time, very few people know and understand what systems architecting is. I switched from architect to researcher with the mission to make systems architecting more accessible and transferable," says Muller.

To put Performance Architecture in the right context, the course starts with a number of industrial cases in order to discuss practical models and methods that are common to all classes of performance attributes (like modelling and budgeting). The learners in this course will carry out an integral team assignment based on an industrial case. Combined with applying practical models and methods the learners will develop an open, reflective, critical and problem-solving attitude and related skills.
