On November 20th, EIT ICT Labs announced three new winners of the Idea Challenge in the category Urban Life & Mobility. Thus ends the second wave of the EU wide startup contest that seeks innovative ideas addressing eight different tech trend topics. Nine international teams pitched their ideas at the Digital Catapult in London in front of 100 guests and a 6-person jury.

Guide Me Right wins Gold

The Italian startup Guide Me Right won the top prize of 40,000 Euro for the idea of a cross-platform community marketplace for "Social Discovery". The platform helps users to find local friends with the same lifestyle.

“Winning this competition comes at the best time for us as we want to develop our startup further in England and can now take advantage of the free office space in London,” said Luca Sini, CEO of Guide Me Right and continued: “But more important is that we now have European validation which is what we were mostly looking for.”

Silver and Bronze go to France

Yespark from France received the second-place award of 25,000 Euro for their app that let the user find and book a parking spot in one click at low cost.

The third-place award of 15,000 Euros went to the French startup Instant System. The startup provides a smart mobility solution for real time route planning and dynamic carpooling.
