Today, the first Business Conference by the title Accelerating European Growth through Innovation took place in Berlin. At the Co-Location Centre, some 70 participants gathered to share ideas on growth and innovation.
The conference was opened by Udo Bub (Managing Director of the Berliner Node of EIT ICT Labs) and Willem Jonker (CEO), the latter speaking to the audience through a direct video connection from Budapest.
Interexchange
In his welcoming word Business Director Klaus Beetz stressed the importance of interexchange between the different profiles within the community and in the audience today. That, he said, is the added value of such high class summits as this first business conference organized by EIT ICT Labs Business Development Program.
The audience existing of SMEs, action line leaders, large industry representatives and business developers followed several presentations by startups such as Smart Sign Solutions (Netherlands), Ubicast (Paris), Panospective (Berlin), Mosync (Sweden), Blaast (Finland) and Cliris (France). Other submission came from large industry partners such as Siemens, Nokia, Orange and Philips.
"Great networking opportunity"
In the words of one of the participants: “It was a great opportunity to do some thorough networking among the EIT ICT Labs network and representatives of large industries and startups."
Live Stream
Thanks to Ubicast - a startup connected to our Paris Node - not only the participants in our Co-Location Centre were able to follow the conference. The whole of the event was broadcasted through a live stream connection.
