The EIT ICT Labs Business Development Accelerator Event took place on 18 February in Les Jardins de l’Innovation, Paris. This European showcasing and networking Business Event was organised by EIT ICT Labs France and hosted by its partner Orange. More than 150 participants coming from Large Enterprises, SMEs, as well as business developers and activities leaders came together to networking and discussing the latest business trends in the innovation areas: Urban Life & Mobility, Smart Spaces and Future Cloud. A highlight was a market place where 15 SME success stories were presented.
The objective of linking SME's to large corporations was met by organizing numerous face to face meetings in the premises offered by Orange.
Henny De Vos, business developer, quoted: "When I invited Philips I didn’t know that we would arrange meetings for them with SME's. I had some trouble getting Philips peoples involved. Hence, a couple of days before the BDA event took place, I informed the representatives of Philips about these 'dates'. That made them enthusiastic about the meeting. It turned out that this was really an added value for Philips."
