Roberto Saracco, EIT ICT Labs Italy Node Director, has been invited to attend the Science Technology and Society Forum to be held in Kyoto, October 6-8, and to address the audience of about 1,000 attendees, including Ministers, Nobel Laureates and journalists from all over the world, on the topic of ICT for Education. 

He will address the way MOOCs are a tool that will require a parallel retuning of the Education process, how they can serve to improve education in developing countries, as well as developed ones, and how they can become the fabric for providing continuous education. In his talk he will bring some ideas from the EIT ICT Labs and from the Future Direction Committee of the IEEE.

The STS Forum 2013 will be the 10th in a row and as in the previous gathering it will address the most pressing issues facing the world and relate them to the Kyoto Agreements, pointing out what has been achieved and what may need to be changed in those agreements based on science and technology evolution and on the changes in Society.

Roberto Saracco has been attending 5 of the previous STS Forum contributing with an analyses of the impact of ICT on Society.
