Pan European digital start-up competition - winners announced

EIT Digital has announced the winners of its 2015 Idea Challenge – a competition to find the most innovative digital start-ups from across Europe. Winners have been selected in eight categories after pitching to expert judges at final events held in cities across Europe. Successful start-ups have been chosen from over 450 entries from 26 countries and will receive prize packages including a cash prize up to €40,000, mentoring support, workspace, and access to buyer networks across the EU and beyond. French entries won more awards than any other country, followed by Estonia.

Winning products include a medical device, which enables skin diagnostics without invasive tissue samples (DAMAE Medical, France), a management and billing platform to easily operate a charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. (, Austria), and a mobile security device helping internet users to protect their online data (Digiflak OU, Estonia). A full list of winners is available here.

Winners will become part of EIT Digital’s unique ecosystem, an international innovation network including global companies, world-leading universities, research institutes, and cutting-edge innovators.
