Medixine and CoRehab, two innovative companies from the EIT ICT Labs Business Community, were recognised among the best in the EU SME eHealth Competition.
Medixine ranked as 3rd in the category "champions" where competed SMEs with annual turnover more than 500,000€ in 2012. Medixine, located in Finland, provides eHealth solutions like Remote Home Monitoring & Advanced Patient portals in Europe, Asia and US.
CoRehab ranked as 3rd in the category "promises", where competed SMEs with annual turnover less than 500,000€ in 2012. CoRehab, located in Italy, has developed Riablo, a brand new product to perform functional exercises in rehabilitation using sensors and games.
The winners were selected from more than 150 applicants. The SMEs had to present innovative ICT solution that have focus on the Healthcare or Active and Healthy Ageing markets. The eHealth Competition Final took place in Nice (France) on the 2nd of April 2014, as a satellite event of the World of Health IT conference.
