Speeddating with a difference - Scaleups and health insurance companies develop new approaches for digital healthcare
EIT Digital, EIT Health and 5-HT Digital Hub for Chemistry&Health join forces for a special matchmaking event on October 22 in Heidelberg. At the "Insuring Digital Health" event, the three initiatives will bring healthcare start-ups together with well-known representatives of statutory health insurance funds (SHI) to jointly develop patient-oriented solutions for tomorrow's digital healthcare.

Interested health insurance companies will meet startups and scaleups with the aim of implementing the advantages of digitization for the benefit of patients more quickly - from the idea to practical application. The focus is on simplified access to individualized and improved diagnostic, treatment and medication options.
"Demographic developments, structural and personnel shortages and medical-technical progress require the use of innovative solutions for a sustainable health care system. Cooperation, especially with health insurance companies at the digital interface between man and technology, offers great potential for bringing medical expert knowledge to where it is needed in real time and across the board. The event format we have chosen can make it possible to make scientific findings about such innovations accessible to a broad audience," says Dr. Wolfgang Kniejski, Access-to-Market Lead of the EIT Digital Accelerator.
