The first submission wave of EIT ICT Labs Idea Challenge has resulted in over 300 applications and more than 600 registrations on its application platform. Innovators that have applied aim to win coaching, office space, integration to our partner network and last but not least an amount up to 40,000 EUR in prize money.

Outreach to 25 EU countries

Applicants could be identified from 25 EU countries. An expert jury consisting of industry experts, investors, entrepreneurs and business accelerators now have the important task to review all entries, and to select the most innovative ideas. Between eight and twelve teams per category will be invited to the finals in resp. Eindhoven, Helsinki, Munich, or Rennes.

The contest that was first presented during CeBIT this year had been calling for proposals and brilliant ideas by individuals and teams in four categories: Health & Wellbeing, Smart Spaces, Future Cloud, and Cyber-Physical Systems.

Second chance in September

The second submission wave starts September 1st with the categories Smart Energy Systems, Urban Life & Mobility, Cyber Security & Privacy, and Internet of Things.
