Tinnitracks, the app to heal tinnitus
Tinnitracks, the winner of the ET ICT Labs’ Idea Challenge 2014 in Health and Wellbeing, won the official startup competition of SXSW technology conference in the field of Digital Health and Life Science, last Sunday, March 15.
Tinnitracks is a technological solution that treats tinnitus by using filtered music. Tinnitus is a widespread disease that causes a constant earbuzzing. Sonormed, the startup behind the Tinnitracks product is member of the Health and Wellbeing Business Community and is coached by the EIT ICT Labs Business Accelerator. Joerg Land, one of the co-founders says: ‘ This is a great launch if you want to get started in the USA. It is a confirmation that we have persevered for so long. And of course, winning this international award is a very nice signal to all our supporters at home’
South by Southwest (SXSW) Festival
The 22nd annual SXSW Interactive Festival in Austin, Texas took place from Friday, March 13 through Tuesday, March 17, 2015. Accelerator Pitch early stage startups
SXSW Accelerator pitch event, presented by Oracle is a platform to allow early stage technology startups to pitch their product and/or services to industry technology experts, high profiled media personnel, and Venture Capitalists / Angel Investors. Eight companies within the Digital Health and Life Science Technologies category, presented by Shell Venture, dazzled a live audience, panel of three judges and co-emcees with their ideas, innovations, product and/or service on Saturday, March 14. Three of those eight companies were asked to return on day two, Sunday, March 15 and presented to a new group of co-emcees and judges. Tinnitracks won the finals and was selected at the end of day two. The award was handed over at the evening of the SXSW Accelerator Awards Ceremony.
