EIT Digital to hold first international symposium on cybersecurity

Event to take place November 23-24 in Rennes during European Cyber Week and will feature:

  • 200 international cybersecurity and cyberdefence experts
  • 13 keynote addresses and panel discussions on innovation in digital systems security and protocols
  • International B2B meetings and demonstrations of disruptive innovation

As part of European Cyber Week, over 200 stakeholders from the scientific community, industry, startups and EU institutions will come together for EIT Digital’s first cybersecurity symposium on November 23-24. The agenda will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, business networking sessions and presentations of disruptive innovations and the latest scientific endeavours.

Some of the leading names in cybersecurity have been lined up to open the event including: Professor Shay Geron from the University of Haifa (Israel) and Luigi Rebuffi, Secretary General of the European Organization for Security (EOS). In all, delegates will be able to attend 13 keynote addresses and panel discussions, and participate in the many networking opportunities available throught the symposium.

The event is being organised under the auspices of the Pôle d’Excellence Cyber cluster and will feature a B2B platform giving delegates the chance to make valuable connections and grow their business operations. It will also allow scaleups and small businesses including the ones supported by EIT Digital to showcase their innovations and pitch to the international community.

Among the EIT Digital supported scaleups attending the event are SecludIT and Digiflak, both supported by the EIT Digital Accelerator. SelcudIT will present its automatic vulnerability detection solution for businesses, integrators and Cloud providers, a solution applicable to all types of infrastructure. And Digiflak will show how it’s broken new ground in electronic identity protection.

The work of international research organisations will be on show to encourage engagement with stakeholders and foster international co-operation and a gala evening will take place on Wednesday November 23, allowing all delegates attending European Cyber Week to socialise and network in a more informal setting.
