EIT Digital Madrid, through the Business Development Accelerator has been actively involved as a collaborator in the last edition of Smart Money event (www.smartmoney.events), held on the 25th of January at CaixaForum Madrid (www.obrasocial.lacaixa.es/laCaixaFoundation/home_en.html).
Smart Money is start-up and investor matchmaking event organized by Loogic (www.loogic.com), a news and information blog dedicated to the Internet industry that has been around since 2005.
In previous Smart Money editions, which have taken place both in Madrid and Barcelona, more than 250 investors, 60 speakers and 400 entrepreneurs came together to learn from each other and discuss new business opportunities.
As part of the program, the event included several conferences and round tables by investors and entrepreneurs, such as Iñaki Arrola and François Derbaix, speaking about the state of the market, the type of companies they invest in and success stories. In addition, speed-networking sessions took place throughout the day, enabling start-ups to present their projects to investors and accelerators.
