EIT Digital Node Eindhoven welcomes a new Node Director effective June: Patrick Essers. He is the successor of Patrick Strating who made a next career move that led him to a position outside the EIT Digital community. We wish Patrick Strating all the best in his new job and hopefully we'll meet again 'in the digital market'!

Patrick Essers started his career in the telecommunications sector. First within the Dutch PTT for a couple of years and after that within Ericsson for 17 years. In his last position before EIT Digital, Patrick was Quartermaster Director of the Dutch Institute World Class Maintenance (DI-WCM). In this position he was end-responsible for the transition of DI-WCM from a grant-driven to a self-supporting organisation.

Patrick Essers says: "I welcome the challenge to drive the operations in the Netherlands, leading a team of professionals to create a sustainable ecosystem for the next decade. My motto is: if you are looking for something new, you have to look in places you've never been before, otherwise you will find what you have always found. Looking forward to work with all of you, to find and create something new."
