Siemens, an EIT Digital core partner, has confirmed a €1 billion investment over the next five years to work with startups to foster disruptive ideas and accelerate the development of new technologies. A new called “next47” - a play on the fact Siemens was founded in 1847 – will be open to external startups, established companies, founders and employees and will have offices in Berkeley, Shanghai and Munich.
As founding core partner of EIT Digital and member of the Executive Steering Board, Siemens is a key member of the EIT Digital pan-European ecosystem of over 130 top corporations, SMEs, startups, universities and research institutes.
