On August 10 CEO Willem Jonker had a full day scheduled with visits and presentations of DFKI's facilities and research areas. He visited the sites in Saarbruecken and Kaiserslautern (Living Lab Smart Factory) as well as the Innovative Retail Laboratory (IRL), embedded in the Offices of the German retailer Globus in St. Wendeln.
Prof.Wolfgang Wahlster hosted the day at DFKI and Christian Müller, the Action Line leader for Intelligent Mobility and Transportation Systems at DFKI, held a special presentation on this thematic area of EIT ICT Labs. There were also several opportunities throughout the day for hands-on experience of the research projects at the labs, as seen in these images from the innovative Retail Lab and the Living Lab Smart Factory.
