An innovative service for recognition of threats evolved on complex networks is now available on the market. CADENCE - a security service specifically designed for the detection of advanced persistent threats and targeted attacks.

CADENCE is a service designed to detect Advanced Persistent Threats (APT) that are a very targeted and sophisticated type of attacks. Being designed on the specific target network and developed by highly skilled groups of very determined people, such attacks cannot be detected by common security protection tools such as anti-virus. These attacks go unnoticed for a long period of time and often with a considerable impact on the companies involved.

CADENCE identifies interactions and behaviours that are suspected of being linked to advanced malware or direct attacks. The statistical models implemented in CADENCE permits the detection of both known threats and unknown threats.

CADENCE service is available in SAAS mode and provides a minimal integration with the customer's IT ecosystem. The service consists of a scan engine on cloud and a team that works 24x7 to monitor and report possible security attacks to customers. The service allows ensuring a high level data protection.

CADENCE is outcome of the EIT Digital Privacy, Security & Trust innovation activity lead by Communication Valley Reply together with technology partners TNO and IMDEA.

Communication Valley Reply is the Reply Group company specialized in managed security services. TNO is an independent Dutch organization for applied research. TNO connects people and knowledge to create innovations that boost the sustainable competitive strength of industry and well-being of society. IMDEA Software Institute is a research institute of Madrid that develops advanced techniques in all areas related to software technologies, including cyber security.

The product was launched on December 9 in Milan.
