Apifon, a tech company that designs and develops business messaging services, has joined the EIT Digital Accelerator as the very first enterprise from Greece. The partnership came about thanks to EIT Digital’s ARISE Europe programme and it is set to propel more innovative companies in the region to follow suit.
Apifon has created the first multichannel messaging and automation platform for mobile marketing which enables communication through multiple channels such as SMS, email, Viber, WhatsApp and similar chat apps. The innovative concept addresses the issue that prevailing messaging platforms are not designed for use by enterprises due to connectivity difficulties with multiple platforms and complexity in managing numerous channels. Since businesses predominantly communicate with their customers over messaging systems, the solution taps into a real demand.
Companies can use Apifon’s tech to grow their audience, design campaigns, measure performance, improve their customer experience and enable automated marketing activities to increase revenues.
Teaming up under ARISE Europe
Apifon is teaming up with EIT Digital to take its operation to the next level by benefiting from the organisation's business development expertise. The partnership came into existence through the ARISE Europe programme which is designed to stimulate regional growth in EU countries where EIT Digital does not have a presence with one of its nodes.
Having been scouted by local innovation hub Found.ation, Apifon is the very first Greek scaleup to team up with EIT Digital under ARISE Europe, paving the way for more similar ventures in the region to follow suit.
CEO of Apifon Konstantinos Stroumpakis said: “We are proud to be part of the EIT Digital family that helps innovative and promising companies to thrive in Europe's high-technology market.”
