New European Bauhaus Acceleration pilot call: EIT Digital awards 4 digital technology ventures to receive international growth support

EIT Digital has announced the four digital technology ventures awarded as part of the New European Bauhaus Acceleration pilot call. They are: Schrott24 (Austria), Datategy (France), Rooom (Germany), Boxie24 (Netherlands).

As part of the New European Bauhaus initiative launched by the EU Commission to enable the Green Deal transformation, EIT Digital launched a pilot call to identify the most promising high-impact digital technology ventures that develop innovative solutions making Europe sustainable, inclusive and improving citizen’s quality of life.

Close to 150 ventures from 27 European countries submitted their applications. Out of them the best 4 companies were selected to receive 12 months of tailored international growth support by the EIT Digital Accelerator worth €50,000 to scale up their business and boost social and economic impact for the European community. “We are proud of the success of this pilot call, which is also the success of the EIT Digital Accelerator. The four winners are strong ventures, and we now welcome them to our Accelerator for pan-European fundraising and customer acquisition” says Chahab Nastar, Chief Innovation Officer at EIT Digital.

The awarded companies leverage digital technologies such as internet of things, artificial intelligence, deep learning, virtual & augmented reality to increase energy efficiency, to optimise the use of resources for a broad range of industries, and to improve citizens’ experience. Thus, integrating the core values of the New European Bauhaus.

The laureates are growing fast. They have raised on average €5 million in funding, have an average revenue of €3 million and an average team size of 43 people.

Schrott24‘s platform is revolutionizing the metal recycling industry by making the market transparent, digital and efficient and by simplifying and automating processes. It is based on the latest machine learning and data analysis, facilitating the matching of scrap metal offers and requests.

Datategy’s collaborative and scalable AI platform enables enterprise customers to collect, cleanse, and analyse data from multiple sources and deploy predictive models for various use cases in a number of industries (e.g., utilities, manufacturing, health & biotech, transportation).

Rooom develops experienceCloud, an all-in-one platform for creating engaging 2D, 3D, AR & VR experiences. It is designed to cover the marketing and visualization needs of different industries through a comprehensive product portfolio. The industries include events, real estate, online retail, product manufacturing and tourism.

Boxie24 offers affordable and environmental-friendly storage solution for urban dwellers. It picks up, stores and returns household and office items withing 24 hours, helping citizens and companies make a more efficient use of their home and office space.
