5-6 December - Square Brussels Meeting Centre
The Innovation Convention is an essential part of the Innovation Union flagship initiative. It will take place on a regular basis to take stock of the progress made towards the objectives of the Innovation Union and to discuss ways forward with a broader perspective in the global innovative economy.
The Innovation Convention 2011 will be led by the President of the European Commission, Mr. José Manuel Barroso and Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, European Commissioner for Research, Innovation, and Science. It will be Europe's premier innovation event, with 1,200 or more selected participants.
In parallel to the main programme, so called "fringe" sessions will be organised. These are smaller workshops where one can participate in lively debates, ask questions and network with peers.
Willem Jonker and Klaus Beetz will participate in the fringe event of EIT on December 6.
ICT Labs will also join the EIT stand at the “Technology and Knowledge Transfer Avenue" with stands presenting organisations involved in patents, IPR, VC opportunities etc.
