Roberto Saracco, Director of the EIT ICT Labs Italian Node, has been invited to give a keynote speech at the IEEE International MultiConference on Automation, Computing, Control, Communications and Compressed Sensing that takes place in Kerala on March 22nd and 23rd. The two-days conference features workshops, panel discussions, plenary talks and presentations by renowned researchers and professors world wide.

The keynote address of Roberto Saracco will be focused on future telecommunocation networks. There are several networks and we have to learn to leverage from all of them. We have been used to design fixed lines networks and then we learned to design wireless networks. Although it may not seem so, they are quite different from one another. The major changes have been brought in particular by 3G and LTE. Then we have other networks, like the ones formed by our neurones in the brain. These networks changes over time and can actually be seen as networks of autonomic networks, influencing each others. And then we have the networks formed by information exchanged. These networks, be it our thoughts or social networks, are continuously evolving and changing as information is produced and consumed. Future telecommunication networks will result from the merging of all four types of networks. The talk will expand on these concepts showing how future communications will connect ambient rather than termination points and infrastructures will become a communication fabric.
