Their smart gas, water and heat metering and Smart City street lighting solutions are based on wireless long-range, low power wide area network ("LoRaWAN"). NAS provides full horizontal LoRaWAN infrastructure: end-nodes, gateways, IoT Hub cloud-based backbone platform as well API's.

With its in-house research and development, as well as, production NAS provides a complete range of sensors and meters for the utilities – from retrofit universal to white label branded mechanical and ultrasonic meters. These solutions allow low-powered devices to communicate with Internet-connected applications over long-range wireless networks. Nordic Automation Systems decided to enter in the EIT Digital Accelerator program as its business has advanced in a state where it has a ready-to-market unique product and solution offerings, has first paying customers and - last but not least - has a solid pipeline for 2018 and later.  Mr Arne Kaasik, Partner & Commercial Director at Nordic Automation Systems, explained:

“We want to grow above our organic potential and remove the challenges and pain points for achieving the success we want.  In our target segment and industries, a high growth, far above our organic growth potential is expected by Industry Analysts. Therefore, we were looking for acceleration, preferably by a professional partner to accelerate our sales funnel. This led us to select EIT Digital Accelerator.”

“What especially guided us to select EIT Digital Accelerator is that the program contains a few unique soft and hard values, like the presence in several European countries and the USA, with local offices. Having really local touch with potential sales opportunities and investors, to tell our story and bridge the communication to us. We were also impressed by the dedication of the EIT Digital team we felt throughout the negotiations to offer us really what we'd need for acceleration. “

By joining EIT Digital Accelerator, NAS aims to accelerate sales pipeline build by few millions of euros in 2018, added to organic growth. The key to making it happen is to close a two-digit number of major customers and/or partners whose business patterns would bring secured recurring revenue for minimum three to five years with the access to market (A2M) support.
