The IoE concept 2015 was a true mix of representatives from large enterprises, telcos, startups, SMEs, venture capitalists, developers and analysts – all looking for the latest trends and finding new products, services or contacts in the growing business of Internet of Things (IoT). Each year the event is more international as Stockholm is a leading hub of IoT development.

In addition this year the IoE for Real also hosted a parallel session, a Sprint Hack led by Evothings, a Swedish IoT startup that is part of the FNS Business Community. Co-founder Alex Jonsson presented the Evothings studio platform and other experts from Cisco and Amazon Web Services provided inspiration and advice on methods for connectivity, lean development and IoT gear to experiment with.

The speakers, from various industry sectors, presented different perspectives on real life cases, their insights on how they solved it and the results they achieved.

EIT Digital was in several ways associated with the event – as a networking partner, presenting the FNS action line with one of three main focus areas being IoT as well as the FNS Business Community with an IoT profile. The Idea Challenge in the field of IoT is also organized by the Stockholm Node and partner STING with project management of Magnus Melander who was the moderator of the IoE for real event. The public choice winner of last year’s final in the IoT Idea Challenge – Shortcut Labs, here represented by Amir Sharifat, was happy to help promote the 2015 challenge which by the submission deadline on July 6th reached 461 entries from 26 countries.
