As from 1 January 2013, EIT ICT Labs partner Point-One continues as the association High Tech NL. This is the result of a merger between Point-One and High Tech Systems Platform. Subsequently, High Tech NL is the founding partner of the new foundation Holland High Tech and is 100% committed to the activities of Holland High Tech.
Holland High Tech combines the strengths of companies, knowledge institutes and government in the Dutch high-tech sector to spur its international competitiveness. This way the Dutch high-tech sector profiles itself with joint forces as a global high-tech player, underpinning that the Netherlands is 'the place to be'. Activities are defined in four program lines: innovation, human capital, supply chain development and internationalisation.
High Tech NL full speed ahead in European EIT ICT Labs SME Program
Last year Point-One collaborated in the European SME Program of EIT ICT Labs. This project focusses on facilitating the upscale of European SMEs with international ambitions. High Tech NL is strongly dedicated to keep full speed ahead in the European SME program partnership. In 2012 they managed to actively screen 60 SMEs out of their cluster organisation.
Eight Dutch SMEs were put forward, resulting in an activity program for four companies.The working areas of these companies: health & wellbeing products, embedded systems, smart lighting and web based technical consultancy. This year, High Tech NL will actively contribute in the business development program for these companies and will continue to scout for new SME candidates.
