On May 9, 2012 the EIT ICT Labs Action Line Health & Wellbeing organized a workshop at the CLC Eindhoven to support the creation of the 2013 activity plans for the action line.
The strategic innovation agenda aims at the improvement of the quality of everyday life via the development of ICT enabled services supporting a sustainable healthy lifestyle in the context of Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) and Active Healthy Aging (AHA).
Some 50+ participants from all EIT ICT Labs nodes attended the workshop that resulted in a set of initial activity plans satisfying the action lines call for activities. The call focuses on achieving a breakthrough in the fragmented market in Ambient Assisted Living for Active Healthy Aging (addressing both the functional as well as the non-functional aspects like legal, security, privacy, cultural, political and economical). Including the mobilization, strengthening & integration of local HWB business communities (ECO systems) as well as the integration of ERB and the application of the set of EIT ICT Labs catalysts will be elements of the activity plans.
