Guido Marco Bertoni is the new Action Line Leader for Privacy Security and Trust. Bertoni received the Dr. Eng degree in computer engineering and the Ph.D degree from Politecnico di Milano in 1999 and 2004 respectively.
In the fall of 2003 Bertoni joined STMicroelectronics as a researcher in the field of cryptography. He is still leading the research and industry activities in security, beyond cryptography to include security in systems and grids.
Bertoni's research interests include cryptographic algorithms, security of embedded systems and smart grid security. He was a contract professor at Politecnico di Milano teaching cryptography and participated to the Bluetooth consortium for the development of the Secure Simple Pairing.
