Green Communications is a spinoff company from Paris XI and UPMC universities – both core partners of the EIT ICT Labs.

The company was created in July 2010 and is participating in EIT ICT Labs activities in 2011. It will provide a testing platform for the EIT ICT Labs partners for research activities in order to improve the public safety in digital cities.

Green Communication produces wireless network equipment with important energy saving features. With the new technology for wireless routers called Start and Stop, the network equipment start and stop their power mode on demand and according to a network activity. Other features include quality of service routing and virtualization.
