This autumn, EIT ICT Labs HWB Business Community activity is supporting the visit of more than 10 innovative European health and wellbeing companies to the USA as part of an outreach program. The visit to the heart of Silicon Valley, has been planned around the popular Health 2.0 Global Event, running between September 29th and October 2nd and held in Santa Clara, near San Francisco, California.

This is seen as a great opportunity to promote the wide ranging health related solutions coming from this year's HWB Business Community who are based in four countries - Netherlands, Finland, Italy and France.

In addition to the comprehensive Health 2.0 program itself, there are two main events created for the visiting EIT companies, with several smaller meetings currently being finalized.

For the first event, representatives from the Netherlands Office of Science & Technology (part of the Consulate General of the Netherlands), based in downtown San Francisco, have kindly created an afternoon and evening program on Thursday 3rd Oct for visiting EIT companies, giving them important local insight and access to local stakeholders and key companies.  During the evening, individual companies will 'pitch' to the audience - an excellent promotion opportunity with time for feedback, discussion and networking afterwards.

Friday 4th October morning has been set aside for a smaller event for the companies, hosted by local angel investors and advisors with a broad market experience. The format will be very interactive, each company introducing themselves briefly, followed by questions and answers by the hosts. The focus will be on the experienced locals offering constructive practical advice to the visiting companies.
