Recently, EIT ICT Labs was an active participant at the Benelux Venture Forum (BVF) in Leuven. The Forum plays an active role in the European and Benelux innovation scene.

It fosters start-ups and high-tech, high-growth entrepreneurship and it promotes Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands as innovative, attractive and rewarding countries to do business or to invest in.

The best high growth companies

The Benelux Venture Forum allowed the most promising entrepreneurs from the Benelux Region to meet and present themselves to active international investors and corporations seeking investment and partnerships. Early stage companies were selected to present at the Forum by the highly respected members of the Selection Committee. Applying companies were assessed on the basis of their business potential, product/technology merit, competitive position, investment or partnering interest, team experience and project profile quality.

The selected companies had the opportunity to present in front of an international Investor Jury composed of Venture Capital and Corporate investors, Business Angels and relevant key industry players.

Several by EIT ICT Labs coached startups were prepared for a pitching session where, amongst others, Ontoforce, Sensus Energy and Sign2Pay are selected as top rating presenting companies. Furthermore, EIT ICT Labs took part in a panel discussion on crowd funding where 4 different types of crowd funding were explained, together with the do's and don'ts based on our 2 winning examples Panono and Homey.
