Smart City Expo World Congress 2018

For the third year in a row, EIT Digital is exhibiting at SCEWC and will proudly present to the thousands of visitors its 2018 supported scaleups and Innovation Activities on Digital Cities, a pillar Action Line that leverages the digital transformation of the cities through centralised, participative and collaborative interactions between government, city service providers, industry, and citizens. This transformation enables the deployment of disruptive information, mobility and safety services in the cities.

Also, during the 3-day-long Congress, our booth will host pitches, presentations, 1 to 1 meetings, business networking and several activities to be announced on our Social Media Channels (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube). Come meet our staff and interview our fantastic Innovation Activities and scaleups at our booth EIT Digital Cities (A180).

For our Digital Cities Action Line Leader, Stéphane Péan, ”SCEWC is the most important international event of the year on Digital Cities.” He leads a Pan-European group of talented researchers from the large corporates integrating EIT Digital’s ecosystem which will be next week a Barcelona represented by “a great selection of disruptive innovation activities presenting their breakthrough solutions with great announcements for the future of EU urban settlements."

Stéphane will also be presenting at the Central District Agora on Wednesday 14, 16:15, on City Platforms & Data Management.

The complete list of EIT Digital’s Innovation Activities and Scaleups exhibiting at SCEWC:

CEDUS: FIWARE-based software product for tracking and collecting valuable data in urban settings. The resulting data supports decision making processes and facilitate the fast delivery of new digital urban services.

Cleverciti: Long searches for a free parking spot could soon become a thing from the past, thanks to Cleverciti Systems. The digital technology company from Munich / Germany has developed a sensor technology that points drivers via app to free parking spots.

Drones112: its platform enables to plan and monitor drone deployments and services. It allows local agencies and drone operators to deploy fleet of drones for diverse applications for safer cities.

MatchX: a specialised provider of long-distance and low-energy network solutions that allow seamless end-to-end connection of devices. The fast-growing startup is meeting a growing demand for its LPWAN (Low-Power-Wide- Area-Network) technology for applications in smart cities, factories, train stations and more.

• MyCarLot: innovation activity that helps planning parking strategies for local governments and better parking services for citizens, leveraging upon connected sensors, cloud infrastructure and artificial predictive algorithms.

The signs display on a digital screen where people cannot temporarily park their cars. The signs are connected to a cloud platform giving city workers an overview of the entire city.

SonoBeacon: its solution makes use of the audio technology available in every smart device to turn it into a platform of personalised information and a shopping solution, exact at the point of interest. Their technology generates an inaudible high-frequency signal, which is transmitted by supplied hardware or an existing audio source.
