On May 1 2017, Gian Mario Maggio took office as the new EIT Digital Node Director for Italy.
Gian Mario Maggio will bring to the role more than twenty years of international experience in industry, research institutions and academia. In particular, he has gained extensive industry experience, both in Europe and the USA, and contributed to digital innovation working at Philips, STMicroelectronics, COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology), FBK (Fondazione Bruno Kessler) and the University of California, San Diego amongst others.
Prior to being appointed Node Director, Gian Mario Maggio worked as Co-Location Centre Manager for EIT Digital, where he was responsible for the Trento Co-Location Centre and the Milan Satellite operations.
Gian Mario Maggio holds a PhD degree from University College Dublin (1999) in Electronic Engineering.
