In June 2013, Zoltán Horváth, the head of the Budapest Associate Partner Group and dean of the ELTE Informatics Faculty travelled to the United as the member of the delegation led by Zoltán Cséfalvay, state secretary for the Ministry for National Economy. In California, he met with the local representatives of leading ICT companies. With the leaders of Google and Ericsson, in particular, he exchanged views on the status and role of Hungary in the international ICT sector. He emphasized the Hungarian universities good reputation for high quality ICT education, their two-decades’ best practice for  cooperating with the industry, and their openness for new cooperation partnerships with the respective companies. Zoltán Horváth had talks concerning the further international role of national information technology research and development sector, in the Californian centre of Google and Ericcson among others. 

Zoltán Horváth also held talks with the representatives of incubator companies – namely, US MAC, Plug and Play Tech  -,  which are famous for supporting start-ups, and was present at an investors’ forum organized for the Hungarian delegation in San Matteo. At the discussions the American organizations made clear that they are ready to help Hungarian  start-ups enter the U.S. market. Finally, during the negotiations, Zoltán Cséfalvay signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Canadian Linamar, and held talks with BlackBerry, which employs a group of sixty software developers at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
