Thursday May 24, CEO Willem Jonker visits the famous Number 10 Downing Street in London participating in a panel discussion on Technology, Research and Innovation in the UK. 

The event is organized to sign the agreement on the creation of the London Joint Research Center on Sustainable Connected Cities between Intel, Imperial College London and University College London, all three associated members of EIT ICT Labs.

Other prominent speakers are the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rt Hon George Osborne from the UK Government, Dr. Justin Rattner Intel CTO & Vice President, Edward Astle, Pro-Rector Enterprise (Imperial), Professor Stephen Caddick Vice-Provost Enterprise (UCL), Martin Curley VP & Director at Intel Labs Europe, Richard Goldman Director ILE-UK, Prof. Julie McCann PI ICRI-SC Imperial College, Dr Tim Whitley, Managing Director Research & Technology and Adastral Park – BT and Dr Richard Miller Head of Sustainability TSB. 

Focus is on how the UK can become a leader in Sustainable Connected Cities, improving quality of life and sustainability. Also topics like delivering better services, stimulating innovation and creating export led growth in sustainable cities technologies are debated.
