Monday, September 18 - Friday, September 22. San Francisco Bay Area, California

EIT Digital, the leading European digital innovation and entrepreneurial education organization, is co-organising with Mind the Bridge for the third year in a row Startup Europe Comes to Silicon Valley (SEC2SV).

SEC2SV is the flagship pan-European program in Silicon Valley supported by the European Commission and European Parliament. It brings the best of the new European scaleups, corporations and policy makers to meet Silicon Valley stakeholders. A European Innovation Day on September 20 will bring together the brightest in digital innovation from both continents and will be in the middle of a week of high-level focused events that stimulate networking and business opportunities, as well as keep Silicon Valley abreast of the increasingly dynamic European startup ecosystem.

EIT Digital's CEO, Willem Jonker, asserted: "Startup Europe Comes to Silicon Valley is the perfect opportunity to bring the leading European scaleups to one of the World's largest Tech markets. Europe has many talented digital entrepreneurs that may create the next global unicorn. It is of key importance for us to maximize their likelihood for success and connecting them to the Silicon Valley ecosystem is one element of that."

"The SEC2SV week will be full of top-level meetings, mentoring, and networking possibilities covering the opportunities as well as the challenges that scaleups face in the competitive U.S. market. The right mix of skills, knowledge, and contacts will enable the best European scaleups to succeed in Silicon Valley and to further accelerate their rapid growth." says Eric Thelen, Director for EIT Digital Silicon Valley.
