EIT Digital will showcase innovative digital companies at Viva Technology, Paris (June 30 to July 2), highlighting the work of its Accelerator in supporting European scaleups to grow, raise finance and enter new markets across Europe and beyond.
EIT Digital Accelerator-supported scaleups attending Viva Technology include Ignilife, which provides a digital health engagement platform to motivate people to make significant and sustainable changes in their lives, reducing their risk of developing chronic diseases. So far, Ignilife has sold its solution to major health insurers in France and Switzerland enabling access for three million health insurance holders.
Fabrice Pakin, CEO of Ignilife says, “We want to replicate our French and Swiss successes in other European countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium and the United Kingdom. The EIT Digital Accelerator has the right network to make it possible.”
Sentryo, headquartered in Lyon, will also be joining the EIT Digital team to demonstrate their cyber security solution to prevent, detect and respond to cyber-attacks for the industrial internet and machine-tomachine networks. The scaleup has recently raised investment of over €2 million with French and British investors, with the support of EIT Digital.
“Eighty per cent of European startups plan to internationalise their business, but only about half of them actually take this step” explains Willem Jonker, CEO of EIT Digital.
“European scaleups face a number of barriers including the highly fragmented European market and investor landscape. It is crucial that we actively help scaleups to ensure European innovation leads the way globally. Through our Accelerator, we support early stage scaleups to gain access to new markets and new customers, as well as providing access to finance by leveraging our pan-European investor network.” he adds.
Ignilife and Sentryo will be joined by 9 other scaleups supported by the EIT Digital Accelerator at Viva Technology.
