David Trousdale, Smart Data: Technologist and Transport specialist with 8+ years in transport focused innovation, David has worked for several local authorities, including Buckinghamshire, Essex and Hertfordshire in various transport related roles. His experience and knowledge spans several areas including asset management, emerging transport technologies, data analytics and service transformation. He is a specialist in the application of Connected Autonomous Vehicles from a infrastructure design and build perspective, having delivered or been involved in several Innovate UK projects including People in Autonomous Vehicles in Urban Environments (PAVE), Connected Autonomous Sensing Service Delivery Vehicle (CASS-DV) and UK Central CAV test bed.
Project: Real time traffic flow
Real Time Flow will be a disruptive software product to plan, design and manage multi-modal transport networks across all sectors and geographies, combining functionality currently provided by point solutions within a single integrated platform. Real-Time Flow will be optimised to use multiple real-time datasets from vehicle probe, mobile phone networks and smart devices of all kinds and will leverage machine learning and AI to produce transformational intelligence and state-of-the art visualisation and simulations. David Atkinson, CEO Senseon:
David has over fifteen years’ experience working within the UK’s specialist military units and Government environments, making him one of the best trained government cyber operatives. He was responsible for designing, delivering and managing a range of specialist techniques and innovative technology to support cyber operations and information security challenges at both the strategic and operational level.
It was during David’s time within government and whilst working alongside CISOs that he realised the current approaches to cyber defence were flawed and that organisations needed a new technology to deal with the increasing velocity of cyber attacks. Mischa Dohler is full Professor in Wireless Communications at King’s College London, driving cross-disciplinary research and innovation in technology, sciences and arts. He is a Fellow of the IEEE, the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Royal Society of Arts (RSA), the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET); and a Distinguished Member of Harvard Square Leaders Excellence. He is a serial entrepreneur; composer & pianist with 5 albums on Spotify/iTunes; and fluent in 6 languages. He acts as policy advisor on issues related to digital, skills and education. He has had ample coverage by national and international press and media.
He is a frequent keynote, panel and tutorial speaker, and has received numerous awards. Madalina Nazare - Head of Collaborative R&D: Madalina is leading the Collaborative Research and Development (CR&D) team at Digital Catapult. In her role she builds partnerships and designs digital programmes seeking to bring the best of research to market. Madalina oversees the portfolio of programmes designed, but also actively leads the partnerships in AI, 5G - amongst most recent projects are the Machine Intelligence Garage, 5G Smart Tourism and Connected Manufacturing. Madalina has previously built and managed national and international research and business support programmes at major universities (University College London), at consultancies (Newable), and European institutions (European Investment Bank and European Commission). Madalina has also had input into European level policies, part of which required a full understanding of major funders' needs and stakeholder incentives. She is currently part of the European Innovation Council - SME Instrument Jury and is passionate about making startups and scaleups succeed.
