Learn more about the finalists
Twenty outstanding deep tech scaleups will compete in the final of the EIT Digital Challenge 2020. From brain imaging to autonomous vehicles and location intelligence - the 20 finalists nominated for the EIT Digital Challenge cover a wide variety of topics within the deep tech field.
The finalists were selected out of 403 applicants and come from 11 European countries. On average, they reached a revenue of €1.5M in 2019, have received €5.6M funding and employ 31 people.
The winners will be chosen in a final event held online on November 12, where the finalists will pitch in front of a jury of experts and compete for prizes worth €350,000.
The final of EIT Digital Challenge is a unique opportunity for investors and industry representatives to gain access to the most prominent European tech scaleups. In addition to watching the pitches, attendees will be able to arrange business meetings with the finalists and other prominent scaleups from EIT Digital ecosystem via an online matchmaking platform.

The event is by invitation only, if you are a stakeholder of the digital innovation ecosystem (corporates, investors, journalists and EU institutions) and you would like to join the event please register your interest.
The best 5 companies will receive a full year of tailored international growth support by the EIT Digital Accelerator worth €50,000 to scale up their business. On top of that, the first place winner will receive a cash prize of €100,000.

Startups in growth stage (scaleups) can apply in five thematic areas: Digital Tech, Digital Industry, Digital Cities, Digital Wellbeing, and Digital Finance. Learn more about them here.
All submissions will be evaluated by internal and external experts. We will examine the market and internationalization potential of your product or service as well as the quality of your core team. We will also consider the fit of your product or service to our thematic areas and the impact our support could have on your business.

1 All shortlisted applicants will be invited to individual calls to allow EIT Digital evaluators to clearly understand companies’ needs and growth potential. Based on these calls, the finalists will be selected.
2 We will announce the 20 finalists of the EIT Digital Challenge 2020 and invite them to the final event.
3 The final event gives the finalists the opportunity to present their companies in front of high-level investors, corporate executives, journalists and representatives from EIT Digital. The best 5 companies will be selected and awarded the international growth prizes.
