Amsterdam Satellite

Amsterdam Satellite strengthens the Dutch Node and offers an attractive location to all EIT Digital partners. With the new location at the Amsterdam Science Park, EIT Digital aims to give momentum to the new Action Line Digital Finance in the Netherlands by strengthening the ecosystem, initiating innovation projects and implementing an educational track with the Industrial Doctoral School in Digital Finance. A second focal point is to amplify the collaboration with the ecosystem in the field of Digital Cities.

Innovation hotspot

Amsterdam is the capital of The Netherlands with almost 900.000 inhabitants. Amsterdam Satellite is located at the Amsterdam Science Park, a place where science and innovation meet. The thriving hub for ICT, life sciences, research and science is home to more than 120 businesses. The area is well-connected logistically as well as digitally, being home to the Amsterdam Internet Exchange, and even has its own Startup Village.

Satellite Co-Location Centre

Satellite Co-Location Centre

The Satellite Co-Location Centre in Amsterdam is a physical co-working venue within the premises at our partner CWI.

The Satellite premises are equipped with all the standard EIT Digital communications facilities, meeting room, office and space to accommodate research and innovation activities.

Arrival by public transport

Train
CWI is a five minute walk away from NS railway station Amsterdam Science Park. This station is served four times an hour from the directions Amsterdam Centraal – Schiphol and Almere – Amersfoort.

Walk through the tunnel after leaving the platform for the science park (northeast exit), cross the street (Carolina MacGillavrylaan) at the crosswalk and walk past the brown building of Amsterdam University College. You will be able to see CWI’s main entrance on your left behind the parking lot.

Bus
Alternatively, bus 40 serves Amsterdam Science Park four times an hour from stations Amsterdam Amstel (train, metro, tram) and Amsterdam Muiderpoort (train, tram). Get off at bus stop 'Science Park' or 'Science Park Aer'. During rush hour bus 240 can be used, too.

Tram
At Amsterdam Central Station, take tram 9 to Diemen. Get off at Kruislaan (situated at the Middenlaan - Kruislaan intersection). From here, you can walk to Amsterdam Science Park (15 min) or switch to bus 40.

Arrival by car

Navigation system
CWI is located at Science Park 123, 1098 XG Amsterdam. The street name 'Science Park' has been in use since 2011 and might not be implemented in all navigation systems. In case your navigation system does not recognize 'Science Park 123', please use the old address ‘Kruislaan 413, 1098 SJ Amsterdam’ instead.

Directions

  • Exit the A10 ring road at S113/Watergraafsmeer
  • Follow the Science Park signs; these will direct you to the Kruislaan
  • Turn left onto the Carolina MacGillavrylaan after passing through the railroad tunnel
  • Take the Science Park entry at your right and enter the gate

Parking
You can park your car at any parking lot after the gate. Follow the signs to number 123, our main entrance. Parking is paid after one hour. Please hold on to the card you receive when entering the gate; you will need it to leave the terrain.
