Calls for SMEs in medical imaging, software development and multimedia technologies

Activity: 13090 Adaptive Streaming Framework
Leader: Janne Vehkapera (VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland)

The sub-grant is targeted for an innovative SME in the field of medical imaging and multimedia technologies to perform the prototyping of networked medical imaging application. The target area of expertise is development of an application prototype for defined networked healthcare scenario by utilising the developed adaptive streaming framework. More specifically, the target is to develop an application prototype for networked healthcare monitoring. The develop application prototype is integrated into the existing product portfolio of networked medical imaging products.

We are seeking an SME that:

  • have existing products and customers on the field of networked medical imaging, especially multi-platform cloud-based medical imaging products
  • who have product applications targeted for heterogeneous devices such as PC, tablets and smartphones
  • have strong and proofed competence on medical imaging, standards used in networked medical imaging and multiplatform implementation
  • have need for more advanced adaptive video streaming in their products and this is part of their product roadmap
  • will be able to implement minimum latency adaptive bit rate video streaming technologies to thin clients targeted for their existing medical imaging products

Maximum grant volume: 44,299 EUR
Duration: until 31 December 2014
Application to be submitted to: Janne Vehkapera
Application deadline: 28th of February
