The startup Ignilife, specialized in health prevention and based in Sophia Antipolis in the South of France, is joining the EIT Digital Accelerator to scale up in Europe.

"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" said Benjamin Franklin. And in his time, he obviously could not imagine yet the potential of new technologies in the domain of health prevention.

In 2014, Fabrice Pakin and David Bessoudo launched Ignilife, a health prevention digital solution, in Sophia Antipolis, in the South of France.

Ignilife provides a turn-key health prevention and wellness coaching online platform. It addresses health insurers for their members, large companies for their employees and health networks for their patients. It gives easy and massive access to a personalized prevention plan.

Ignilife differentiates by combining cutting edge digital technologies and the most recent behavioural change models (such as engagement through communities, gamification, contextualisation, user experience).

So far, Ignilife sold its solution to 2 major health leaders, one in France and one in Switzerland, enabling access of 3 million insurance holders to its prevention platform. In 2015, the leading French health plan, Malakoff Médéric invested 1.4M Euros in the promising startup which currently employs 18 people.

In April 2016, Ignilife was admitted to join the EIT Digital Accelerator to scale up in Europe.

"We want to replicate our French and Swiss successes in other European countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium and the United Kingdom. The EIT Digital Accelerator has the right network to make it possible" said Fabrice Pakin, CEO of Ignilife.

To reach this objective, the EIT Digital Accelerator will help Ignilife find customers and investors through its unique pan-European business network.

Thus, an international team of Business Developers, spread in 13 cities in Europe including Sophia Antipolis, will identify leads cross borders and help Ignilife transform them into deals or collaborations.

With the EIT Digital Accelerator support, Ignilife will also have the opportunity to attend international trade-shows and pitch events to increase its business visibility.

Inside EIT Digital, Ignilife will also meet the Digital Wellbeing Business Community made of peers, innovators, and entrepreneurs to exchange best practices and ideas in the health prevention domain.

No doubt that, wherever you are in Europe, you will hear more about Ignilife very soon, from your insurer or your company.
