Europe's best digital technology startups now have the chance to apply until Sunday 31 July 2016 to gain international growth support.

Calling all early scaleups who want to grow internationally: No matter if it was the summer weather, the European Championship or anything else that kept you busy, EIT Digital is giving you extra time to submit your entry for the Europe-wide startup competition EIT Digital Challenge. You now have until Sunday 31 July 2016 to apply via www.challenge.eitdigital.eu.

Successful startups will become part of a unique pan-European innovation network and gain international support in scaling their business to Europe and beyond. They will also have the chance to join the EIT Digital Accelerator for a full year. On top, the best team per category receives a cash prize of €50,000.

EU-based startups can apply with their innovative digital technologies in one of five categories:

  • Digital Industry
  • Digital Cities
  • Digital Wellbeing
  • Digital Infrastructure
  • Digital Finance

The best ten teams in each category will be invited to pitch in front of expert juries at one of five final events. They will take place in Paris, London, Stockholm, Helsinki and Eindhoven during the month of November 2016. The best three teams in each category will be awarded and get access to EIT Digital's pan-European innovation network with more than 130 partners that bring together Europe’s leading corporations, SMEs, startups, universities and research institutes.
